Tesla Model S Plaid Facelift II Pre-Preg Carbon Fibre Rear Diffuser by Adro (2021+)

Description

ADRO Pre-Preg Carbon Fibre Rear Diffuser for Tesla Model S Facelift II (2021+)

Tesla left the rear of the refreshed Model S deliberately understated. ADRO’s Carbon Fibre Rear Diffuser is built for owners who want to retain the car’s clean lines while adding the visual weight and aerodynamic intent the factory design deliberately holds back. Aggressive fins, deep channels and a sculpted lower face transform an otherwise flat rear valance into something that finally matches the performance beneath it.

The diffuser is laid up in genuine pre-preg carbon fibre | the same construction method used in motorsport bodywork | for a panel that is stiffer, lighter and more dimensionally stable than wet-laid alternatives. The weave is straight, the resin is even and the autoclave-cured surface holds a deep, glass-smooth gloss that complements Tesla’s paint palette without competing with it.

ADRO mapped the Model S underbody using 3D scanning, then refined the diffuser’s fin angles and exit profile through CFD simulation. The geometry smooths airflow off the underbody, reduces rear-end turbulence at speed and adds a measurable contribution to high-speed stability. This is an engineered aerodynamic component, not a cosmetic shell.

Key Features:

• True pre-preg construction | autoclave-cured for superior strength-to-weight, tolerances and finish quality
• 3D-scanned OEM fitment | designed from reference data for direct bolt-on with no cutting or trimming
• CFD-developed fin geometry | spacing and exit angles optimised in simulation to manage underbody flow
• Aggressive visual impact whilst remaining coherent with the Model S design language
• 3M adhesive tape and mounting hardware included

What’s in the box:

• 1 x ADRO Carbon Fibre (pre-preg, 2×2 weave) Rear Diffuser
• 3M Adhesive Tape
• Mounting Hardware

Fitment / Compatibility

NOTE: Not compatible with pre-2021 Model S. Part of ADRO full aero programme with front lip, side skirts and rear spoiler.

FAQs

Q: Does the ADRO rear diffuser provide genuine aerodynamic benefit?

A: Yes. ADRO developed the fin geometry and exit profile through CFD simulation using 3D scan data of the Model S underbody. The design smooths underbody airflow, reduces rear turbulence at speed and contributes to improved high-speed stability | not just visual aggression.

Q: What years of Tesla Model S does this diffuser fit?

A: This rear diffuser fits the Tesla Model S Facelift II (2021+), covering the refreshed Model S Long Range and Model S Plaid from 2021 onwards. Not compatible with the pre-2021 Model S.

Q: How does pre-preg carbon compare to standard carbon fibre for a diffuser?

A: Pre-preg carbon is manufactured with resin pre-impregnated into the fabric and cured under heat and pressure. The result is a panel that is lighter, stiffer and more dimensionally stable than wet-laid carbon | with a more uniform surface finish. For a diffuser exposed to underbody airflow and road debris, the improved structural integrity of pre-preg is a meaningful practical advantage.

Q: Is the diffuser compatible with the ADRO front lip and side skirts?

A: Yes. All four components in the ADRO Model S Facelift II aero range | front lip, side skirts, rear spoiler and rear diffuser | share the same pre-preg construction and 2×2 twill specification. Fitted as a complete programme, they form a cohesive and aerodynamically consistent exterior transformation.

Q: Does installation require any modification to the rear bumper?

A: No. The diffuser was developed from 3D scan reference data of the Model S underbody and bolts on directly with no cutting, trimming or modification. 3M adhesive tape and mounting hardware are included.

Q: Can AUTOID fit the diffuser alongside other ADRO components in one appointment?

A: Yes. AUTOID offers fitting for the full ADRO Model S aero programme at our Chelmsford, Essex facility. Contact [email protected] to discuss a complete fitting appointment.
