TheDOWN4SOUND HEXICONE XMR 65is a high-performance 6.5-inch Carbon Fiber Pro Audio Speaker engineered for powerful vocals, strong midrange response, and extended upper-frequency performance. Featuring Down4Sound’s signature Hexicone carbon fiber cone technology, the XMR 65 combines lightweight construction, excellent rigidity, and a phase-plug design for clear, responsive, and authoritative output.
What Makes the XMR Different?
Both versions deliver the powerful output and carbon fiber Hexicone performance expected from Down4Sound, but each is designed for a different type of system.
- Original HEXICONE:Features a traditional dust-cap design and is ideal for customers seeking the familiar HEXICONE sound with bold vocals and strong midrange performance.
- HEXICONE XMR:Replaces the traditional dust cap with a phase plug, providing additional upper-frequency reach and a more open vocal presentation. The XMR does not replace the original HEXICONE. It gives builders another option for tailoring their system based on the sound and frequency coverage they want.
Built for high-output daily drivers, custom door builds, competition-inspired systems, and dedicated pro audio applications, the HEXICONE XMR 65 delivers the projection, clarity, and authority needed to bring your system to life.
Key Features
- XMR Phase-Plug Design: Provides additional upper-frequency reach and a more open vocal presentation than the traditional dust-cap configuration.
