Functionally, it’s not very important, but they are known to become brittle & deteriorate. Their absence then exposes the junction between hood, windshield, pillar, & fender – less cosmetically pleasing, to be sure. This new factory replacement comes with a retaining pin. Installing the piece is easy. Note: your old moulding may have a foam sponge on the bottom. New ones don’t. Warranty Information 1 Year Warranty
